ABU Admission Requirements 2024

For every aspirant looking to have a place in ABU, there are some requirements that must be satisfied before a candidate can be considered for admission into Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.

Below are the requirements for aspirants seeking a place in ABU undergraduate program.

ABU admission requirements for UTME candidates:

  1. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credits in the Ordinary Level Credits of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE).
  2. Ensure you select the appropriate JAMB subject combination.
  3. To get admitted to Ahmadu Bello University, candidates must score at least 180 on the recently completed JAMB UTME exam.
  4. ABU must be the candidate’s first choice institution in JAMB
  5.  To be eligible for admission, every candidate must participate in the ABU POST UTME/SCREENING.
  6. Candidates must be at least 16 years old.

ABU admission requirements for Direct Entry aspirants:

  1. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 credits in not more than two sittings in the Ordinary Level Credits of the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE).
  2. Candidates must have passed two subjects relating to their field of study at the ‘A’ level/IJMB.
  3. They must have passes in related topics at JUPEB/A’ Level.
  4. Candidates must have First Class/Second Class Upper in a related discipline is required.
  5. Candidates for direct entrance must acquire the ABU Direct Entry form from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the ABU Portal.
  6. Candidates must have passed the National Certificate of Education (NCE), National Diploma (ND), and other Advanced Level Certificates with a minimum of merit.
