How to solve JAMB Biometric or fingerprint issues 2024

In recent years, JAMB biometric capturing has become an integral part of pre-UTME processes.

For a successful JAMB registration, there must be biometric capturing, and for a JAMB candidate to sign in or sign out from the jamb examination hall, there must be a biometric verification too. JAMB biometric data capture is not different from a regular biometric capturing exercise done anywhere else.

In 2019, JAMB announced the introduction of a biometric verification machine (BVM). The board further explained that the innovation is to checkmate the various forms of examination malpractice in the UTME.

Visit the nearest JAMB office in your state with the following documentation:

1. Serial number
2. JAMB email address
3. Phone number
4. JAMB profile code
5. Residential address
6. Reason for the biometric issue.
7. Choice exam date.

NB: Any issue with biometrics or fingerprint issue that was not documented with any of JAMB head offices in the 36 states will not be allowed to sit for the JAMB exam.

Before scheduling JAMB exam dates, candidates with biometric issues may be instructed by JAMB to go to their zonal offices to be able to do their registration, unlike candidates with no issues with JAMB biometrics who can do their JAMB fingerprint or data capturing at any JAMB CBT centre.
