The Nigeria defence academy is Nigeria’s premier military institution. The Nigeria defence academy (NDA) is the only Nigerian higher institution that is tasked with academic and physical training for eligible Nigerian youths. - Every aspirant of the Nigeria defence academy must be an individual that is physically and mentally fit.
- Every aspirant of the NDA must be of good character,
- Every aspirant of the NDA must have no legal obligation of supporting a child. This applies to both male and female aspirants.
- Every aspirant of the NDA must provide a certificate of indigeneship from their respective state or local governments.
- The age requirement for the NDA is that the aspirant must not be less than 17years and, not more than 21 years at the time of his admission into the Nigeria defence academy.
- Every aspirant must have 5 credits on subjects relevant to their chosen course of study. These 5 credits must include English and maths and must be from recognized examination bodies like WAEC, NECO, and NABTEB. The 5 required credits must be gotten from not less than two sittings.
- Every NDA aspirant must have sat the annual JAMB UTME examination z and met the minimum cutoff mark for the year.
- The height requirements for NDA aspirants specify that the male aspirants must have a height of not less than 168cm, and the female aspirants must have a height of not less than 165cm.
- A knowledge of French, Arabic, or Mandarin will be an added advantage to the aspirant during the selection process.
The basis for disqualification from NDA screening
- Any aspirant who didn’t upload his O’level results alongside his application will be disqualified.
- Any aspirant with awaiting results will not be accepted.
- The aspirants are expected to present O’level results that are not more than five years old from the scheduled date of the examination.
