OAU Hostel 2024 (fees and allocation)

The OAU hostel is very unique because it is sited differently from the location where most schools have sited their halls of residence. 

Well, it is not a hostel with gold walls and maidens at your call, but its uniqueness stems from the fact that most universities site their halls of residence away from the lecture halls, but in OAU, the halls of residence are situated around the lecture halls.

The idea is to ensure that students don’t go far from their halls of residence when they want to study. Thoughtful right?

OAU Hostel: Full list of the halls of residence in OAU

Okay. There are nine OAU hostels. Among them, eight are for undergraduate students while only one is reserved for Postgraduate students of OAU.

Among the eight available halls of residence, the halls have the most number of hostel blocks.

The male students have five halls allocated to them, namely:

• Angola Halls of Residence
• Awolowo Hall Of Residence
• Fajuyi Hall of Residence
• Education Trust Fund Hall of Residence (Strictly for freshers)
• Muritala Mohammed Hall Of Residence (Male and Females)

While the females have the following hostels:

• Mozambique Hall of Residence
• Moremi Hall of Residence
• Alumni Hall of Residence
• Muritala Mohammed Hall Of Residence (Male and Females)

OAU hostel: Off-campus Accommodation

Without spoiling your mood, would you mind knowing that there are accommodations available for students outside the school compound (off-campus) as it’s a known fact that all students cannot have a place in the OAU hostel. For that reason, there are off-campus accommodations for students in different localities around OAU.

Off-campus accommodation can be found in the following areas:

• Asherifa
• Oduduwa Estate
• Damico Area
• Ibadan road
• Parakin Estate
• May fair
• Lagere
